Whistler was an unincorporated village located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It lies within Mobile County about 5.65 miles in the southeast direction to Mobile on I-165 route. Whistler was annexed to Prichard in the 1950s. The construction of the Mobile and Ohio Railroad occurred at the same time when Whistler was founded during the 1850s. It appeared for the first time on 1880 census with a total population of 1,333 and did not appear again ever since. Whistler has an elevation of 36 feet above sea level.
